TOOMAS KALDARU Toomas is an Estonian pianist who completed his graduate pianistic studies with the highest votes possible at the Conservatorio "Santa Cecilia" of Rome. At one point also a professional opera singer, Toomas is an optimal coach for our Academy singers, as he has gone through the rigors of training the voice, as well as foreign language learning.
As a pianist and coach, he has collaborated with l'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia of Rome, il Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino of Florence, the Teatro dell'Opera of Rome, NarniOpera, Kammeroper Köln (Germany), L'Opera di Shymkent (Kazakistan), the Teatro Comunale of Tartu (Estonia), Opernwerkstatt Rhein (Germania), etc. He has also accompanied the opera workshops of Santa Ceclilia in Rome, the Reate festival, the International Lyric Competition "Klaudia Taev," and the Opera Laboratorio dell'Università Tor Vergata-Roma Sinfonietta.
He has personally sung the roles of Alfredo in "La traviata", Lenski in "Evgeni Onegin", Ramiro in "Cenerentola", Tamino in "Die Zauberflöte," as well as as been a soloist in over two-hundred recitals of chamber and sacred music, which were his specialities as a tenor.
