Collaborative Pianist Tugce Doruk was born in Izmir in 1979. She attended Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory where she started taking piano lessons from Prof. Semra Pekman Kartal, and Theory & Harmony lessons from Ilhan Baran. She completed her degree in Dokuz Eylul University State Conservatory where she graduated in 2001 with honors. She is currently one of Turkey's leading pianists and fulfils the role of principal accompanist at the Izmir Opera.
Edward Hamrock
Collaborative Pianist Edward Hamrock is a pianist active in the United States and Europe. Born in Los Angeles and now based in Berlin, he studied piano at California State University, Long Beach before moving to Germany to pursue further studies at the Trossingen University of Music, Heidelberg University, the University of Freiburg and Humboldt University of Berlin. In 2019, his passion for the music of J. S. Bach in particular led him to complete an internship at the Bach Archive in Leipzig.
Mike Kestler
Collaborative Pianist Mike is a keyboard accompanist from Salt Lake City, UT. He studied composition, piano, and organ at California Baptist University, and specializes in sacred music and musical theatre. He's thrilled to work with the VAO Bodrum singers this year!
Evrim Keskin
Guest Artist EVRİM KESKİN graduated from DEU State Conservatory Performing Arts Department and Uludağ Un. Faculty of Fine Arts, studying with Sabahat Tekebaş, where she became staff in the Department of Music Education and gave voice training and diction-dramatization. She is an alumnus of Mersin State Opera and Ballet, and has worked with Licinio Montefusco, Maria Biescu, Ayhan Baran, and Erol Uras. Roles include Annina in La Traviata (Verdi) and solos in the Atatürk Oratorio (N.Kodallı), Yunus Emre Oratorio (A. Saygun), Stabat Mater (Rossini)(A.Hoca), among others.
